I Am Becoming a Fan of Poisonous Satire.

Some horrible things:

Bush. Cheney. Giuliani.

This also is horrible:

WashingtonTimes article by Bruce Fein Actually, I mean to say the article is great; the information contained in it is what's horrible and alarming. He talks about a bill sponsored by Jane Harman, of all people. It supports suppression of speech and expression concerning the government. I feel like drinking some cyanide tea.

Some good things:

Steven Weber's columns on HuffingtonPost. To savor him fully, you should read Day of the Locust, (Nathaniel West) Generation of Vipers, (Philip Wylie) and the Book of Jeremiah. His satire gives you nightmares of mankind scurrying around on a blasted, blackened Earth, but he uses that sort of voice well and it seriously is the right time for it. In his latest post, the description of Rudy Giuliani and his "lipless, rictuslike grin" outdoes my previous favorite references to Rudy;

Chris Kelly's columns on HuffingtonPost. He is the author of my previous favorite descriptions of Rudy -- who is characterized as an evil humpback. In one column, Kelly referred to something so shocking it was "enough to make Rudy's hump explode." And this week, what he has written about Ann Coulter is completely called for. And hilarious.

The cartoon Maakies by Tony Millionaire. It is not quite as lewd as R Crumb, but more disgusting. I relish it; I'm glad he is this disgusting, so I don't have to be. He is revolting for me. Maakies is my Kramer portrait.
